have i mentioned that i’m a nanny? well it’s true. when i’m at work i have to make lunch FAST SO FAST before the baby wakes up and use as few pots as possible but also make something tasty and filling. i made this orzo the other day and i was really surprised by HOW good it was, considering how thrown together it was. i recommend it.
sooo i made some cabbage rolls. they were GOOD. also i’d never actually eaten a cabbage roll so i can’t speak for the authenticity, but they were GOOD. just eat them alright? excuse these sort of gross photos of not gross foods. another plus: this recipe calls for small quantities of red wine which means that you’ll have to buy a bottle but then have 3/4 of a full bottle of wine kicking around. remember when i was going on about how i love collard wraps and how i made salad rolls with collards? well HERE IT IS. the future becomes the present. this is a weird take on salad rolls, the collards give it an earthy green taste that isn’t there otherwise, but if you are into that (which i am) then make these! another twist: almond satay sauce instead of peanut. why? because i don’t like peanuts.
