I’m a bit sad to be leaving the garden right now but it’s in good hands. This spring has been so hot that everything is way ahead of schedule and growing like crazy. Already harvested the garlic scapes and now i have to fly away.
so i’m still on the ice cream train over here. trying to figure out how to get the best texture (not too hard! not too soft! creamy!). I’ve tried a cashew base but so far I find it to be too grainy, we’ll see where that goes. THIS ONE THOUGH is the best texture yet!
so easy so delicious, you just have to find the right plantain and then you’re minutes away from this tastiness.
A couple weeks ago while eating a delicious coconut turmeric soup, I got a bug in my brain about making turmeric ice cream. Then a few days ago I found fresh turmeric at my grocery store so there was no choice in the matter, I HAD TO MAKE IT. I went out and got an ice cream maker yesterday and here I am today eating turmeric ice cream. It is dreamy and delicious, a little bit spiced but balanced with ginger and a bit of lime.
smoothie life! sometimes i get into a smoothie rut where i just throw in as many things as i can to cover all my nutrition bases and they’re ok but not delicious. i’ve been making an effort to be more curatorial with my smoothie choices and hot damn we’ve been turning out some tasty treats.
